Awesome book - about daughters, but I learned so much about where feminism and the mindset came from because their father was a Marxist before becoming a Christian - So Much More - http://www.visionforum.com/search/productdetail.aspx?search=so+much+more&productid=57882

Okay... I'm not sure where to begin. I have a little bit of hindsight and I've seen where my mindset had been influenced by feminism even though I'd grown up in church (mostly Baptist - now attending a Reformed Presbyterian) It's sad to see that even our churches have adopted views that aren't Biblical. I think that's why we get confused when we read certain passages - they don't fit with our world view... instead we should allow scripture to form our world view. (Yay, for homeschooling!) :)
When David and I were first married, we wanted to let God control our family size - then boom, boom, boom! Freaked me out! My oldest 4 are 2 sets of 13mo'ers w/ a year in-between. We actually had a "V" after #3, but didn't wait to do the baby dance and had #4. :) So, I had a 4, 3, 1 and newborn... we went along our merry way for 9 years or so.
Then - I started getting baby feelings. This just wasn't like me. They were fine for other people, but I wasn't interested... all of a sudden, I started oohing and ahhing over babies. I'd catch myself and wonder what in the world was going on! I started praying - first, "God, if this isn't from you, please take it away." It didn't go away. Okay, "God, if this IS from YOU, then you're going to have to do something about it. This has to be your call - and you're going to have to talk to David. He's the one that would have to have a reversal."
Months went by - then we had a devastating blow to our relationship - But God is gracious and faithful!! PTL!! He did a work in our marriage. So, I prayed for opportunity to tell David about what God had been showing me about family for the last few months. He agreed to let me look around for information... I looked up tons of stuff and found great resources for reversals (it is a specialized surgery and needs to be looked into carefully).
February of 2001, we went down to New Braunfels, TX and David had his reversal. January of 2002, we had Jared. Since then, we've had Justin (2006) and Jesse (2008) - now a new one in August 2009.
We were fully ready to go boom, boom, boom, again after the reversal - but that's not what happened! We did have Jared right away, but we didn't get pregnant immediately after him.
Sometimes it is scary. Sometimes it's just awesome! We can't even imagine what our life would be like w/out the little ones. I have two graduated and a Sr. and Jr. in high school... now we're starting over w/kindergarten and potty training.
Sometimes I look at our age and think - what were we thinking?!! Then I remember that it isn't about ME - God gave me the vision and He promises to be faithful and see us thru.
Age is sometimes mentioned as a factor for all kinds of things, including birth defects. I think most of it is hog-wash. Health and well being are most important in pregnancies no matter what the age of the momma. I've come to see that the feminist/Marxist agenda has really controlled much of our society's thoughts and beliefs on family and children.
So - enough to chew on for a while? HeeHee!
